twirling, blind masquerade of
imperfections, sub-rosa.

Rain on tempered stemware,
footprints of moon spark
stencilled romances.

Touching fingertips,
cold on weeping glass
letters encrypted in
hoary ink, forever yours.

emptiness uncured,
racing miles along sunset sands
nicotine highways
breathing holiday smoke-
leisure, laced calamine.
through see-throughs, exhausted,
cupping glass gazes glittery,
dusty eventide,
haloing naked silhouettes of
photogenic xerophytes.

darling eyes drink mirages;
aoelian fingers paint, splintered
colors articulating exuberance.

Raindrops twinkle on wayward leaves,
dawn streaming splendid-
your sleepy gaze shushes my heart.

Breakfast cackling on the stove,
I watch you slurp sour cream,
laughter tinkling, echoing unarrested

in fleeting sighs, tickling sun-slants,
soft yawns teasing feline purrs, and
captivated, I watch

hazel eyes knitting carefree perfection in life.

Moisture sour on unbrellas bright,
lacking the whiff of smiles, your
eyes, unnhappily red, shedding
unscented solemnity on
indifferent flowers to be laid
at cold funeral feet…

and I thought angels never wept.

From vintage eyes,
stained poetry stares
across creases in distant blurs;
pernicious intuitions
wallow in acrid fate, re-
fluxing life,
after-life, in medleys of dishevelled
solitude.

Her widowed brow weeps
buds of savage red;
unforgiving fears litter sleepless
dreams, undeveloped,
skeptic negatives with gelatin flaws

permanent accusations.

Dreams yawn in sockets of empty eyes,
unshaved legs rub themselves
warm, the almond cold
clattering. Nights singular
‘neath layers of wool,
provoking spasms, adamant tiptoes
round the navel flaw-
flowering eloquence
mature loneliness.

Fallen are those dreams
of wishful sighs,
kissing caffeine-milk from
your tongue. Dry fingers sparkle
with your name, moaning impatient.

the dripping contrast of a Melbourne rain
sleek kisses unmade, undressed
in coverlets of liquid sighs;
colors refracted, alloy
swirls in thousand fantasies
mirroring light, sharp trebles
leafing through canon lens:
yellowing blush dominating impeached
green of reversed summers,
Christmas festivities.

flux violet, sinking
in transparent rain running deep
along mottled serrations, dimpled
hearts, bleeding elegantly dark-

you splay twinkles of nostalgia,
eyes ecstatic.
