Sea-sun-set: a photographer’s note

Holding lightly
this breathless silence of your aura,
spread beyond my superfluous frames:
fingers of maturing innocence, swaying,
speckled fleur-de-sel frozen on aeolian stems.

Tasman-ic blues,
whisper silken echoes like lovers,
chaffing shores of svelte silhouettes
while the painted sun, your sweet eyes
smudge, a tint passion could never reproduce.
