they have shed their fuchsia calyxes-
i understand i’m needed
no more

your tea bags wither
on the study,
tasting of ledgers,
and cheque-books

even the rain has turned
hanging all over like a limerent teen

I have to agree with the above- and just the thought of that wrinkling the bag – amazing how something so everyday, when imbued with the right emotin, can create something poetic and beautifully sad….really enjoy how you talk about the rain as being rancid….almost as if there is nothing romantic left in the world…and this just takes the poem to another level…great job
