#073

there are sea anemones
under the bed,
growing, the way
we grind against memories
protesting; each other-

trapped in cobwebs-

i want to unwear this loneliness
leave my secrets exposed
to your intricacies

your impressionism
abstract-ism

everything you, and i
no longer want wings. just hold
hands, run wild-eyed past reason

there will always be indecision
iloveyou-s, ineverwill-s but

certain things cann(ever)ot change.

  1. Love:

    “growing, the way
    we grind against memories
    protesting; each other-”

“i want to unwear this loneliness”

“run wild-eyed past reasons” … I like reading it as “reason” instead.

I like the creative way you emphasized “ever” at the end, like you’re trying to convince yourself.

  2. This is both attractive and frightening, as all deep emotion and conflict can be when fed into the mind so adroitly, Mohana–you have a gift, and this expression of it speaks strongly and well. I also especially love the beginning stanza–what an image!
