About Me

I, with ♥

I’m like the wordless echoes of hope in broken hearts.
I’m like the rain-drenched fallen brown leaf.
I’m like the solitary dew-drop on a lotus’ cheek.
I’m like the green shadow of ancient trees.

I’m like the lonely twinkle of a star on the darkest of nights.
I’m like the undeciphered whispers of the evening breeze.
I’m like the wild frothy waves of the tempestous ocean.
I’m like the warmth with which cool rivers kiss the unknown sea.

I’m like the forlorn bud on a naked tree.
I’m like the scattered dust blowing free.
I’m like the scorching heat of burning desert sands.
I’m like the delicate mystery in the cobweb’s gossammer strands.

I’m like the sweet tune that lulls a child to sleep.
I’m like the silken moisture of your lost lover’s lips.
I’m like the irregular beats of a frenzied heart.
I’m like that singular smile that can sear souls apart.

I’m like the rain after eons of drought.
I’m like the wave of rage that destroys life.
I’m like the Silence on untold Love’s lips.
I’m like the tears…and the smiles they breath.

  1. Hello, dropped in to read your poetry and after reading through several I have decided they do not deserve a “quick read” so I bookmarked your blog and plan on returning and enjoying your poems when I can relax and spend some time with them. Thanks again for visiting my blog as well. Keep writing!

  2. Mohana, unable to file my comments on your “Blood Butterfly” post today due to the firewall at this location that blocks anything with the syllable “butt” in part of the title! Anyway, I commend this poem for its many dense layers of intense reactions to the forces of nature there where the poet is located and has been located. Some writings by Vietnam POWs I knew many years ago express many of these same thoughts, it would seem. I appreciate the reminders you posted here today!

  3. Pleasant! Simple! Pleasant! Simple! all i can think of! You have a warm and a pleasant simplicity surrounded by you! I could never write a poem on me, perhaps describing me, if i have to i would let you write one for me, haha! I hope you would do that 😀

  4. Mohana – Don’t think I can add more appreciation what everyone has already furnished about your thoughts. However , I always believe that to understand the Motive of our life is the most difficult task in this whole world ! Spend sometime with yourself that’s all I can say.

    Cheers
    Amit

  7. With words, a myriad hues painted,
    what I read differs
    from what your write;
    writers unite. (!!!)

Stumbled onto your blog and I love the poetry going on here! Cheers!
